You could get away with once a day...

But you might still encounter feed dump problems with small pellets... and/or cheap feeders...

Realistically, it's only a few weeks until summer and I'll be able to feed right up to 7.30pm, so the problem is only temporary.

Might just wing it until then...or move the fish onto 4mm pellets. They're nearing about 7inches in length so should be ready for the larger food soon, I would think...?

Dude got skills!! Wow, that was impressive.

Well, I decided to get this thing up and going at last, since it's warming up a bit here...but him no work... Well, it works when I press the "manual" button, but not on the timer itself. :upset:

Does anyone have any experience with the Super Fish Pond feeder??

Correct, but I was more wondering if anyone has experience using this model and might have some trouble shooting tips...

O, I get what you're saying now...ok, so let me make sure I got this straight.

This OBO bloke has never heard of fish feeders and there's no point contacting him...? Right, got it.

Thanks! ;)

We a building our own so once its done will share. Running it off an Arduino board so its pretty flexible plus will do a few other things such as monitor air pressure, tank volume and temps. You can see a few pics so far on badgers second system thread.

if your feeling generous, when it's made, can you post some build instructions to the electronics and electrical section viewforum.php?f=50

I was in the process of building a picaxe version but then winter came along and my silvers shut down. My fish pressed a lever when they wanted food, and the chip just restricted how much they could get in any given time. That way cold weather or other factors are taken into account.

Now that the water temperatures are starting to look good again, I will bring the project out of the shed and start work on it again.

it looked like this ...
