If you bought it from aquarium supermarket your warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. I bought an air pump from them which both diaphragms busted afte 4 weeks. You would expect diaphragms would last more than 4 weeks. They didn't want to know me. And that's from a shopfront purchase. Good luck getting any service from them since you are in Sydney.

Most shops wouldnt cover a diaphragm, its a consumable item.
Thats like complaining that Holden warranty isnt worth the paper it is written on because they wouldnt replace a worn out tyre or windsreen wiper blade.

You are right, they should last longer than 4 weeks, but excess back pressure can cause them to fail early, and that isnt a warranty issue...

The manufacturer didn't seem to have an issue sending out replacement diaphragms for me. Going on your car analogy, would you expect your tyres to be worn out after 2000kms and everyone harping on abou how bad driving causes worn tyres? Similarly I had 16 airstones connected to it. Definitely not a back pressure issue. Anyways, end rant about crappy service from aquarium supermarket.
Back OT, mine is a Laguna 16000 @160watts
