I got a flyer from Tractor Supply that had a 10' feeder for $120. Considering the amount of time/materials it has taken me to make my own, I thought this was a pretty good deal.

I did find a few posts that were a couple of years old about these, but I was curious if anyone is currently using them and how they are holding up to weight of the media?

Thanks.

Did you ever try using one of these? The depth of 10" is a little too small for media beds, but might be perfect for DWC.

I believe I've seen some old systems that used them. One was a trickle through set up though (holes in the bottom of the feeder simply let the water trickle through so it never flooded) so it really didn't provide much filtration.

I don't know that I've seen any recent posts or pictures of any that have been in use long term. doesn't seem a good sign.

Yours looks somewhat deeper than the pic in the Robs post, but it shows that they work fine eh

Off topic question, how close can you plant corn in AP ??

Nah, it might look deeper.... but it's only 25cm (10") at the bottom apex...

And I plant my corn about 300mm apart...

Thanks Rupe. I was thinking about expanding my greenhouse system to pump to a couple of these beds outside of the greenhouse during the summer.
