Just a side note guys! With gas hot water heaters it is possible to get them turned down lower than what they are preset to, just ask your local gas and plumbing fella to modify it for you.

Very true! All water heaters have adjustable thermostats. Of course it would be hard to stick in a custom thermostat.

Yup, my old boiler would go down to an unpleasantly cool shower, guessing 25 degrees or so. No plumber involved there was a big white dial ;-)
