| Post subject: | Kiama Sustainability Expo |
The 2nd Kiama Sustainability Expo, will be held on World Environment Day (Sunday June 5th) at the Kiama Leisure Centre Sports Hall, Havilah Place, Kiama... I've been invited to both exhibit and as a speaker on the subject of "aquaponics".... I'm booked to talk for 45 mins commencing at 11:00.... and I'll be followed at 12:00... by a talk on sustainability... by "Costa".... Should be a fun day.... so if anyone wants to drop down and have a look ... come along... |

I'll try and get someone to do it... I have a VHS camera, but it would need to be converted to digital format.... I've already emailed the organisers to see if someone has a digital video camera...

Good steady crowd throughout the day and lots of interest... full house during the "aquaponics" lecture... Nice one..... Saw Costa last week on new inventors... It's surprising some of the things that just go from expo to expo, the people selling secateurs, and tree pruning devices of all shapes and sizes, they are at every expo all around the country... Was there the mop people doing little mop and wash cloth demos...? |

There is a guy that rides one of those electric scooters that take the same road home as me. Overtakes me at the same place every time. The first time he did I wondered what was wrong with the thing, it was making a strange whirring noise  Then noticed the massive "NO FUEL" stickers splashed all over it. |

Costa said that today was the first time that he'd actually seen the BYAP kits... seemed impressed.... "Niice"... Also seemed impressed with the Jim Da Silva "Shoalhaven" system.... of course he was invited to take a tour anytime he was down this way...

Heh what 'sustainable' message did the dlink table have? I have fond memories of Kiama, known as the town I stop at for 15 minutes to change onto a diesel train when visitng my bro in Nowra  Can't believe they are getting the NBN - jealous! Can't wait until they start digging up around here.. |
