Hey all,

I'm in the market for a water quality test kit and the API Master kit seems common.

This is a bit of a rant really, but it's annoying to see that the kit is available on Amazon US for $30 (after exchange to AUD) with free postage if you spend over $25 US (ok I might have to buy something extra for $5. Let's call it $45 AUD.

Amazon Australia is selling them for $72.28 AUD with free postage.

In aquarium and pet shops you see the same kit for between $65 and $75.

Just a bit cheesed off that our American colleagues seem to be getting these a lot cheaper. OK I understand there's postage costs, but if buying in bulk to Oz surely this would be split between units, not hitting everyone with the full postage cost for each unit

If anyone knows of a cheaper option let me know

This is what happens when there is only one wholesaler licenced to import and distribute in the country.

direct via eBay approx $50-$55 with postage included.

I don't think Amazon US will give you free postage to Aust - you will get shipping added when it realises you are in Australia.

Sure I paid around $40-$45 but can't remember where.
Maybe google a bit more.
