Post subject:  Volunteer in Cambodia?

Hi all,
If anyone is considering travelling, I have an idea...

A very good friend of mine, with a lot of experience in community development, is currently working with Wat Opot Children's Community, an orphanage for AIDS orphans in Taeo Province, Cambodia. She writes:
Quote:
There are 85 residents, 25 of which have HIV themselves. It is an amazing place, full of love and hope even though the circumstances sound so difficult. I love it. I have not ever been so inspired by an organisation. Probably because it is really a community, more than an organisation.
Anyway, they could really use your skills. There is a lot to be done around the place, but in particular they are interested in aquaponics.
I told the man who runs the entire NGO about you. If you can get yourself over to Cambodia you can live in and be fed by the orphanage, and the food is really good!

Sounds like an awesome opportunity to be inspired, spread the AP concept, and make a difference to a community.
It was a personal request for me to go over but I just don't know if I can get over there. If you're interested, PM me and I can see what can be done.

Cheers
Stephen
