So watching the news at my parents house after Christmas dinner, one of the local news stations did a story on our hobby (though for some here it's more than than, it's a livelihood). It made me super happy to see this finally start to gain some traction! It's something that I try to talk to people when I can, so hopefully this method of growing food will start to see more people doing it. The thing though that made me cringe a lot was when they said that "all you need is light, and water". Which as we all know is BS, but then they went on to talk a little bit about AP, and how it uses fish to produce the nutrients. So who knows?? Maybe this will spark something (I hope!). Anyway, just figured I'd share that little bit with you all. Merry Christmas to all!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

.. It's interesting that we sometimes have local.gardening shows where they do a walk-around of a featured garden, and they often just say... "and that is the aquaponics system" So it is all getting traction, but still not popular.. I'm surprised the we don't see EVERY "Preper " with an active AP system But then, unless it's massive, it is not really self sustaining, in that the fish would soon be eaten, if "Preping" turned into survival.. .. |

Yeah, it is kind of interesting. My thoughts of that is because an AP system is not something that can be packed up into a backpack and thrown in the back of the car. Oh well, maybe it will become popular soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
