My two favorites are...

Lightly toast your bread under a grill... (that thing that's hot that shines down from above in your oven if you are from a different part of the world)

Buttered baguette with crappy tinned tuna in olive oil, crappy store bought (shelf stable until opened) mayo, good parmesan cheese (I only ever have reasonable stuff), and cracked black pepper. [EDIT - and baby capers are crucial]

Buttered baguette, with thinly sliced salami, alfalfa shoots, crappy mayo, and salt and pepper.

Either of those can include lettuce.

Does anyone have anything else I need to know about?

Sounds awesome, I usually upgrade all my sandwiches to 'funeral sandwiches', or more correctly put 'samiges'. Basically take any standard sandwich, cut it in quarters on the diagonal (noobs usually stuff this bit up). Then turn and place on plate with crust side down, then hot damn the samige is born. Some thing about the increased surface area exposed to the atmosphere is turely a thing to behold.

If you take a plate of fairy bread to an adult party (and by that I mean a grown up's party, not an "adult party") , I guarantee it will all be eaten, no matter how much you bring.

To those of you on the other side of the planet, fairy bread is buttered white bread, with those tiny sugar, ball bearings, of various colours, that you probably call sprinkles or similar.

Here they are called hundreds, & thousands.

If you dont know what they are where you live, ask a kid.

It's probably best to cut the crusts off.

Always cut fairy bread into quarters on the diagonal as per Asitis'.

Slip a Sao cracker into any sandwich and it adds texture and crunch, big improvement on a boring sandwich.. :thumbright:

Nice.

Just last night I watching some cooking thing, and they suggested pretzels.

Pretzels are not something I keep in my pantry.

Sao I've got.

I like it.

Sandwiches are indeed underrated. Lately idk why I've been adding a good amount of fresh sliced tomatoes to every sandwich I make. And sometimes instead of mayo I use cream cheese... I know so much sat fat but it tastes so good.

One quick question, is there a particular reason you said "crappy mayo"? Did you say it as a way to say "whatever mayo is fine.. go crazy" or as a way to say "cheap grease mayos are the best for sandwiches"?

Thanks,
Chloe
