If you are just wanting to show diagrams, I suggest the use of GIF format- which will make for a much smaller file than JPEG, due to using only 256 colours, and that is more than enough for graphs and circuit diagrams etc. GIFs enbedded in the thread are much easier to view- no external program required, and you can view them with the text in the post, rather than having to swap back and forth between programs. I make GIFs of my graphs for posting in my system thread, it's just a matter of using the "prt sc" key (print screen) and pasting into a graphics program to add any annotations etc, then saving in GIF format.
