Go bury her in the yard before she stinks up the place! (That's a Throw Momma from the Train reference for anyone who hasn't seen it.)

Sounds like there may be swapped wiring between the live and neutral lines going to the outlet. Would try maybe doing a voltage check between ground and the other two contacts to verify if voltage is on the correct sockets. Had a brother in law at one time that was having trouble with his porch light and we (I) found out the hard way that the switch didn't turn off the right line and the light socket was still live. Thankfully I was insulated fairly well and only got the tingle and not the full bite. Be safe out there and let us know how it goes.
