Sweet!

I've been fiddling around with my idea and came up with some better drawings.

The half-circle is a pivot that will hold the diffraction gradient so I can play with angles. I also need to add a spot for the test tube somewhere along the thin light slot.

Image The camera would be on the left half, the flash on the right half. There will likely need to be the 2 razor blades to get the proper light slit for a clean rainbow image.

Image Kinda an upside down view so you can see the bottom of the diffraction gradient pivot.

Any thoughts before I print the first iteration out and see how horrible it works?

I listened to a fascinating story about 3D printers on the radio a little while back and how scientists are succefully printing DNA and experimenting on human body parts using a special kind of ink. Technology spins me out.

This might be useful to create laminar flow for the test water.
