Hi yall (American for "you guys"),

I'm prototyping automated aquaponic control systems to control water variables, climate, fish feeding, LED lighting, etc.

I'm looking for an electrical or software engineering wizard (with firmware experience -- specifically a C developer) who has caught the aquaponics bug.

Does anyone here fit that description or know somebody who does?

Cheers,
Jamie

I'm a linux systems guy/programmer with some experience in embedded, although I'm consulting in software engineering/devops right now (more lucrative). I have a huge aquaponics system which is running half-finished.

Have you looked into previous attempts at such control systems specifically for aquaponics? There are some hurdles. What are your intentions? How much experience in aquaponics do you have? I've shelved the idea for now because I've read up dozens of failed projects which died after the initial blog post and the unit pricing on some basic sensors was obtained.

I've done a bit, look through this section of the forum.

Otherwise, Bullwinkle is probably the best option I can think of off the top of my head.

Surely you meant: Hi all y'all ;) As I understand it, y'all is singular and all y'all is used when addressing more than one... well at least in the South ;)

I started a thread a while back for BYAP members to mention their skillsets they were willing to share with other users.

I'm back on the steroids and opiates the bad people in masks put me on from time to time, so I cant remember what the thread is called but someone one else will remember.

If nobody there has posted the skills you need, just post what you want, and someone will pvt message you. For every post there are 50 people who follow the thread that don't post. That's always the way.

Can someone with a functioning brain please link to the he skills thread
