At the projected price of around $110, I don't see this as much competition for the Pi.
An arduino compatible plug in board for the Pi would get my vote.

Just pre-ordered this the other day. It should arrive in September and can't wait to get started.

I was looking into the Raspberry Pi originally but the UDOO has way better specs. It has built in wifi which is critical because I don't have ethernet ports near where my aquaponics is located. It also has 76 GPIO compared to Pi's 17 so there is more room to expand. The two SD Cards is also a huge plus.

Here is a comparison chart. (http://www.udoo.org/wp-content/uploads/ ... _table.png)

I plan on building a program that tracks temp, water levels, feeding times, cycle tracking, video feed, alerts and then auto chart everything with a web interface and email notifications.

Has anyone else ordered a UDOO or been doing this with Raspberry PI?
