With my DW and her mum were exploring the South of Chili, Lake Chiloe
and the lakes and volkanes while based at Port Varas,
then for a tour and overnight stay in Peulla before going across the border to Argentina.

Staying in Bariloche for four days before returning back to Pto Varas and flying back from
Pto Montt to Santiago and back to Valparaiso.
Plenty picks but no facility to open, shrink and upload.

Fish and plants aparently OK.

Cheers, Steve S

Back home, and hopping bloody mad.

Did you se on TV that volcano eruption in S. Chili?
HERE are some pics of it.

Must have been really spectacular.
We were right there in between those volcanoes and missed seeing it and maybe even getting buried at no cost just by a fortnight.

Few pics from the Chilean side as we saw it before the eruption.

And picks from Bariloche, in Argentina.

It’s a major tourist destination, be it summer or winter.
We visited it in the off season, usually very wet, but thanks to La Nina, the Pacific’s waters were very cold,
with hardly any evaporation and so no rain.

Every time any of the volcanos, most of them at the Chilean side get a fit,
the easterlies blow all that volcanic ash across the border and Bariloche is in the path.
