Hi All
I have been watching the antics of all the old hands on the forum for a few weeks now and really enjoy easy banter ! So much so that ive done the unthinkable (for me ) and joined up. Apologies in advance for any blunders in ettiquete, but sad to say at the tender age of 42 im an internet virgin so please be gentle.

Okay to buisness! I absolutley love Aquaponics, Was right in the middle of getting a permaculture garden up and running then spotted the story on GA ,big u turn and nowbusy hoarding materials for" the system". Just to make you all jealous (I know how you like to hear bout a bargain) heres the list so far, 6x 1000L bulk bins (1 carton), 1x steel shade house frame with some shade cloth 14mx7m(2 cartons) , 19 Red Claw(free ,here in Weipa there availablefrom the wild 2mins from my door) and in the next few weeks should be picking up a 15000 L fibreglass water tank for $300-$400 which I can turn into two tanks. Im really interested in the forums dealing with lowering energy imputs and using materials constructivley so I guess ill see you "out There".

Cheers Tim B

Hi Tim B, a warm welcome to the forums from one Tim to another... I am glad to hear your're roaring to go and with what sounds like a hell of lot of Aquaponic potential. Would love to see some pictures when your all setup... some progress pictures would be fantastic too.

Create a new thread under Members Sytems to put up all the juicy details there... and the picys of course... :) I think you will fit right in... with many of us some what envious of your materials.

Hi Jamie Ive particularly like reading about your system and your parenting. The cheese photo really cracked my wife and I up weve got two Devil Spawn(Boys), 7 and 3and they can keep you on your toes. Weipa's much the same just buisier these days. Will probably wait till after the wet to really crank up or ill have to contend with lots of issues not the least of wich is flooding of the grow beds by next wet will hope to have waterproof film in place.
Cheers

TB, I can't wait for the continuation of Season 3 on January 21st, with the episode 'Rapture'... once again they have left us in a massive cliffhanger.

Jamie were you reffering to the town as a dump or our fine municipal waste disposal facility? From what ive seen of your advanced scrounging abilities i would have you pegged as someone who knows the importance of being on first name terms with the local dumpie!
