I was just wondering if there is anyone on this forum who will be eating home grown fish by the end of the year. If so, is it your first batch? What variety? HOw long have you had them? If not, a quick summary of what you have and how big they are would be interesting. Stu |

My problem is that they are all different sizes, might take "Arnie" and "Tiny" and average |

You've seen 10 goldies - can't see the SP in the black plastic tank (camouflaged )
White bucket or blue tank - no probs |

I'm hoping to GET some fish for Christmas. I really doubt they'll be big enough to eat (11) |

Bit enough to eat is purely subjective. Some people eat whitebait LOL |

yeah definately barra and most likely big enough but only have four and they have kind of grown on me so will likely get a bigger tank and keep them for a long while. I am more into the vegie side than the fish side anyway. les, not a problem on the show and tell, my pleasure. monya, on the subject of barra are you getting a lot of crap build up at the bottom of your barra tank. I have about a half inch of poo?? in the bottom and was wondering if any one else is having this problem. My SP don't do it but my barra have always done it. Aquamad would be the next best person to talk to. Is anyone else doing barra out there? |

Muzz has 10 or so fish in the 1kg range. Silver perch. It is magnificent to watch them. I'd love to know how much my biggest ones weigh now. I must buy a fish kind net and pull one out sometime to do some measurements. What sort of nets are people using? |

BTW - I too got a tour of Nick's system. Impressive and set up for expansion as well. I'm not so sure I'd be eating the barra yet though. |

Nick, definately getting a build up on the base of the tank with the barra. Have used a little sucker I got from B to vac the solids into the growbeds a couple of times. Will take photo of it when I find the camera. It works a treat |
