Hay there. I've got this Oregon Scientific Weather station and the software that comes with it seems nearly unusable to me. I would like to find some software that will let me hook this to a computer and log/store the information as well as post live weather data to the internet. Anyone here have much experience with such things or can you point me to a good forum on such things so I may get down to learning about it? |

Could I also use this software to log data? |

What kind of data you want to log. I'm sure there are some weather softwares out there that will at least log the temperatures for you. Problem is I don't know which ones are good. |

Ok, here is the software I've got going now. http://sourceforge.net/projects/wmrx00/ And it seems to be nice an simple. No flashy graphics. Just some graphs and data logging. and here is what I've got going up to the internet so far. http://www.aquaponiclynx.com/aquaponic-lynx-live-garden-cameras/weather I'll be improving this and figuring out how to post the graphs up to the web page too. I just haven't had enough time yet to sort it out with family visiting. My weather station is an Oregon Scientific WMR100N I think. I got it with the temperature/humidity, wind and rain sensors and I added two water temperature sensors. It should be able to handle up to a total of ten temperature/humidity sensors. I've only got three so far. It can also have a UV sensor as well but I don't have one of those yet. Only real problem I have is there is only a few feet within the house where the base station can keep track of the water temperature sensors for my two fish tanks so I have to set up a computer in an odd location in order to log this data and upload to the internet. Anyway, that is what I got so far. |
