Location: fairport harbor ohio-on lake erie
we were evacuated from our town this morning, at least 10 house fires.. possibly from a buildup of natural gas pressure... shut our heat off and headed out, left the wife and step daughter at the step son's house in the next town and went to work..
i hope our pipes don't freeze.. should be ok till this afternoon


glad we're insured!

just got the ok to return to our house.. it dropped to 54f since this am..
the "authorities" recommended turning on your stove to see if there is a pressure problem, if the flames are fine, turn on your furnace

i heard on one radio station that the gas pressure was in the pounds (normally measured in ounces), most probably due to a frozen regulator... last i hear a total of 13 houses burned..

going to try to head home early..

that's 54f in the house.. been kinda chilly here lately, but it's supposed to warm up to 26f today! (that's -3c)

thanks everyone..
no injuries at all, total of 15 buildings, mostly single family homes

after everything settled down, i went to feed the fish, don't think i've ever seen them so active, they fed like normal though, so no worries there
