Ok after the huge success of the last one I'm going to put up 1 or 2 John Deere owners edition packs, each pack contains Cap, Stubby Holder, Coffee Mug and something else I can't remember
A limerick works like this, 5 lines with the First 2 lines Rhyming, the middle 2 lines rhyming (but not with the first 2) and the last line rhyming with the first 2 lines, an example would be
There was an old man from Nantucket
He had a P...........
whoops bad example
An example here from Rupert
There once was a chap named Nocky....
Who would become quite stroppy...
When someone would suggest...
That "Silvers" might be best...
Nah, "bugger Silvers" he'd say so cocky..

Please post your Limerick (Only) in bold like example, makes them easier to find, this way they won't be missed, anyone can enter including Mods, Admin etc, they only sad thing the winner must come from Australia for postal reasons

The subject
EB suggested that me having Silver Perch is like Monya having Trout so the the limerick must contain, Silvers or Silver Perch or Perch, plus Nocky or Paul, and may have West Australia or Narrogin in there as well, good luck Rhyming Narrogin :bootyshake:
Comp will end Last day of March

There was a young man of name Nocky
With aquaponics was really quite cocky
But a yabby in the sump
Bought him down with a thump
Now the cocky Nocky is rocky

Sorry, hope that doesnt bring on a yabby moment for me  :D

OK, I think I got all the rules in. Though happy to be corrected if you don't think the rhyming is good enough.

There once was a young larrikin from Narrogin
Who's aquaponics suffered much to his chagrin
Although not his favourite flavour
Silver perch were his saviour
Still, he's convinced he's committed a sin

cheers and merry Christmas to all

There Was a Bloke Named Paul
And with aquaponics he had a ball
Silver perch were the fish
That made his signature Dish
and the people of Narrogin enjoyed it all

 :funny1: :D :dontknow:

A bloke from "skinny" (or Narrogin)
To stock silvers needed encouragin'
So much simpler than trout
He is soon to find out
Nocky's brow no longer is forrowin'

Nocky who lived in Narrogin
Found silver perch quite disparaging
Forum folk thought him rather queer
When all he talked of was John Deere
And then made them vote on Theresa's new kitchen

Thats the best I could do, curse you Nocky. It's very hard to pass up a challenge and I really wish I was doing something more productive.
Merry, merry Christmas!

The reigning limerick champ, KE XIV, throws his hat into the ring looking for back to back titles:

There once was a young boy named Jed
Who’s always got John Deere on his head
Since his Dad came the champ
At the limerick rhyming rant
On the Backyard AP forum on the web

First it was Monya’s woes, but now it is Nocky
From Narrogin who sells tractors to cocky’s
He’d love to grow perch
But must do more research
Or be known forever more as a trout jockey.

There's a man called Nocky but I'll call him Paul
He's a POSTING GOD to us all
He hails from the West
Where they think they know best (!!!)
Who finally tried Silver's and found his call

:) :) :) (the smiles are for those in the West...please forgive me :notworthy: )

An enthusiastic aper named Nocky
Was long thought to be a trout jocky
But in a recent byap post
We all looked aghast
Silver perch were coming to house Nocky

Nocky from narrogin over west
Used to think trout were best
Then he went on a search
And found silver perch
Now he has put them to the test
