Ok after the huge success of the last one I'm going to put up 1 or 2 John Deere owners edition packs, each pack contains Cap, Stubby Holder, Coffee Mug and something else I can't remember A limerick works like this, 5 lines with the First 2 lines Rhyming, the middle 2 lines rhyming (but not with the first 2) and the last line rhyming with the first 2 lines, an example would be There was an old man from Nantucket He had a P........... whoops bad example An example here from Rupert There once was a chap named Nocky.... Who would become quite stroppy... When someone would suggest... That "Silvers" might be best... Nah, "bugger Silvers" he'd say so cocky.. Please post your Limerick (Only) in bold like example, makes them easier to find, this way they won't be missed, anyone can enter including Mods, Admin etc, they only sad thing the winner must come from Australia for postal reasons The subject EB suggested that me having Silver Perch is like Monya having Trout so the the limerick must contain, Silvers or Silver Perch or Perch, plus Nocky or Paul, and may have West Australia or Narrogin in there as well, good luck Rhyming Narrogin Comp will end Last day of March |

OK, I think I got all the rules in. Though happy to be corrected if you don't think the rhyming is good enough. There once was a young larrikin from Narrogin Who's aquaponics suffered much to his chagrin Although not his favourite flavour Silver perch were his saviour Still, he's convinced he's committed a sin cheers and merry Christmas to all |

Nocky who lived in Narrogin Found silver perch quite disparaging Forum folk thought him rather queer When all he talked of was John Deere And then made them vote on Theresa's new kitchen Thats the best I could do, curse you Nocky. It's very hard to pass up a challenge and I really wish I was doing something more productive. Merry, merry Christmas! |

The reigning limerick champ, KE XIV, throws his hat into the ring looking for back to back titles: There once was a young boy named Jed Who’s always got John Deere on his head Since his Dad came the champ At the limerick rhyming rant On the Backyard AP forum on the web First it was Monya’s woes, but now it is Nocky From Narrogin who sells tractors to cocky’s He’d love to grow perch But must do more research Or be known forever more as a trout jockey.
