I thought this might be an interesting topic to start after my little find last week in Townsville.

We were coming out of the V8 track when I say a box sitting in the middle of the road in a round about. As we got closer I realised it was an air pump box.

So not being one to pass an opportunity I pulled up along side and pushed the wife out the door to pick it up, all whilst holding up traffic.

It was right in the middle of the road and I reckon the next car around would have run straight over it. In side was a brand new Twin de-lux (no less) aquarium air pump, still in 1 piece.

Having no name or price tag showing where it had been bought from there was no real way to return it, so have bought it back home to use in my AP system

I would love to hear what you may have found by the road or just found!

It fell off some where!

If had a shop name or some other way of identifying from where it came I would have happy tried to find it's owner.

As I am guessing some one paid good money for it.

But as it was on the blind side of a very busy round-a-bout it wouldn't have been in one piece for much longer.

Someone must have stuck it on the roof of their car. Can't say I've found anything lately though.. :dontknow:

I found 50 bucks under a rock once when I was a kid, wide gravel tracks alongside the highway / main road we lived in front of , only rock in sight, only barely big enough to cover a note

so I picked it up to throw it or something obviously and viola, a 50 sitting right under it

toy shopping I did go

About a year ago I found something called byap forum...full of riches beyond imagine, it changed my life forever! :lol:

I just thought of something we found by the carpark today..

As we were locking up the shop, walking up to the the front door was a marron about 4 inches long. No idea where it came from, guess it must have somehow escaped one of our systems, wandered out into the carpark, and then decided that it wanted to come back. He was pretty dried out and glad to get back into water.. :)

2007 was the year I decided to pick up all the loose change I saw on the streets of London. Let me tell you, the streets were not paved with gold. Total amount for the year : £18.45

He's luck he didn't find his way in to a pot for entrée :lol:

Many years ago I decided the same, to pick up all money I saw in the street.

Have lost count of how much, but it has been a fair bit over the years and always seems to come in runs. But I have noticed a run will stop if I walk past some money and not pick it up.

You have to love the universe, it always seems to deliver what you need when you need it.

Just be careful of what you wish for! In my experience the Universe does not discriminate between good and bad it just delivers!

I think that's enough philosophy for this hour of the day, time for a cup of tea and some breakfast.

Took the kids to Hungry's the other day, cost $18 for all of us, I stopped at the play park nearby to eat it and when we left I found $20 lying in the middle of the carpark :) Who says Fast food is expensive??? :) :geek:

Driving some people home years ago and found a leather swag in the middle of the road. With running a shop you would not believe the amount of stuff people drop. I can go look under the fridges and there will be at least $20 worth of coin.

:walk: walking down the street and came across a 20kg bag and a old box the bag was full of top grade large spuds and the box had a old mantle clock i had it looked at and restored it was built in 1820 and now sits on top of our desk was told if i sold it would sell for around $600 to $1000 and the spuds cooked up a treet

My friend finds some amazing stuff on the hard garbage piles on the nature strip, recently she made over $400 selling them on Ebay.
And to think it would all go to landfill if she didn't pick it up and recycle it. Can you believe It is illegal to pick up stuff like this! Crazy law, crazy society!
