Howard actually, I think. Just a discussion I was having over a beer with a mate. Not looking for any commitments or anything. The story is, my brother is moving his family (wife and 2 little boys) to QLD next week, but he will out run his removallist by a week or so. He has a house lined up but, with no furniture, I think he was thinking of renting a furnished something or other for the gap. This sounded like a waste to my parents so they are taking a trailer with the essentials (mattresses, fridge and washing machine I think) and going with them. My brother would take his car. This, to me and my mate, sounded hard work and were mulling the idea that if someone moved into this district, and more particularly if a member of a sporting club or lions or whatnot, whether we could find a spare lounge/bed/fridge/etc for a fortnight for a stranger in a similar position. It's probably too late to do anything about so it's more a theoretical question. Dex. |

If nothing else, I have an empty trailer coming back to SA from QLD. On another day, I'd find a dozen things I wanted on ebay or the trading post were I went "bugger! It's in QLD" but I can't think of anything now. It's always the way. |

I think I would have been taking the "I'll have to stay in a hotel for a week then" option.... |
