I live about 40 min from the island....the closest airport (Melbourne international aka Tullamarine)would be ABOUT 2 hours away depending on time of day. Your best bet is to look on www.wotif.com and search on San Remo or Cowes ( they are both towns on the Island). Would also look for a Phillip Island GP website for possible accomodation/ transport info. Otherwise take a tent and see if you can hitch a ride on the day because they all congragate in the main street here and go in convoy.

Me and the boy have tix for the US Laguna Seca GP in July and the mirs. wants to fly over with me for the PI GP... I tried checking rates in Cowes but the WOTIF site didn't let me check bookings that for out (Past December). Maybe Orbitz or TO.
