Out of interest I intend to keep a running sheet of the harvest from my single grow-bed system. I will just update this post each time I harvest. Comments are welcome. Congratulations VB. I think quantifying production in the way that you are doing is a particularly useful thing to do......especially in a backyard system. One thing seems clear, we'll be eating a lot of vegetables out of these systems before we get to taste the fish. |

that is a very good thing! We're spending about $50 a week on fruit and veg at the moment so every bit we can produce ourselves is great |

Most excellent VB. Wow, that's a savings of 2600 per annum right there Jaymie. Figures like that, Aquaponics makes a lot of sense to a lot more folk. How much of that bill is stuff you can't grow in Aqua? Sorry for sidetrack VB. How much fish (roughly) feeding the beds in the harvest figures? And tank and bed volume, please, pretty please. |

I agree on the savings but to be really accurate you must also take into account what you would normally grow in dirt. Yes VB - keep a running tally of what you harvest - I am very keen on this |
