After you type in the name of the recipient on the left hand side, you have to Click on the "Add (To)" button just down below the address box.
The recipient then comes up in the "To" box above your message with a "Remove" box if you have made a mistake.

Just found this out myself. And you can send "To" more than one at a time!

Thanks ian that worked never had to do that before normaly just type it in the to box

Yeah caught me by surprise last week Milne, although I thought it was my memory, as I usually hit the pm button on the bottom of somebody's post...
