I just got home from hearing David Suzuki's lecture.

Wow! He is so passionate about the Earth and it's future.

I highly recommend going to see him if you get the chance.

He is 70 now, so I can't see him keeping up a lecture schedule of this type forever.

It's the 59th minute. Start doing something and stop doing other things. :toothy4:

Aquamad,

Unfortunately at this stage we have to carry a few others as well, the world is full of suitcase people (only go somewhere when carried)

Long live David and his ideas!

I am going to see him tomorrow night - thankfully all the tickets here were released to the public at $5.00 each... a nice realistic 'mum and dad' price

Our council came to the party in a big way. Our's was free, with free bus services and plant give aways.

Oh cooooool! Now I'm even more excited to go & see him! Awesome!! Glad you enjoyed it Jaymie...

The tix at the Gong were only $15/person... which I also thought to be a good price, considering so many other things seem to be way overpriced to me these days. (Back in the good ol'days...eh? :P )

It's really frustrating... I hear so many people saying that because the world is mass-farming, that things are never going to change... but it's such a narrow-minded view. There needs to be a paradigm shift for any real benefit to be felt long-term... saying that 'mass-farming is here to stay' is just such a cop out!!! Though, considering that most people don't feel any sort of connection whatsoever to their foodstuffs & where they came from, I suppose it's the easier way to just stick their heads in the sand... There'll be a shift soon, otherwise we'll tick over to midnight in no time flat.
