I just tried to look at listings in a section of the forum instead of doing my usual "view new posts" and when I tried to look in the announcements section of the forum I got what follows instead of a web page Quote: 404 - Component not found You may not be able to visit this page because of: 1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite 2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site 3. a mistyped address 4. you have no access to this page 5. The requested resource was not found. 6. An error has occurred while processing your request. Please try one of the following pages: * Home Page If difficulties persist, please contact the System Administrator of this site. Component not found I still seem to be able to look at threads that pop up in the view new posts listing but I don't seem to be able to browse the sections. I was just getting ready to comment about the new BYAP web site but thought I'd look and see if there were announcements about it (I've been a bit busy for a few weeks and haven't been on the forum very much so figured I just missed it.) Anyway, nice new look to the main BYAP web site. Hope you can get the messed up links in the forum taken care of easily. |

Likewise! Managed to get through to the forum this morning - but since then have had no joy - I am sure everything will be back to normal shortly. Getting a new site up and running takes an awful lot of work. We are suffering symptoms of withdrawal ! |

Individual links to threads or posts do work, but all links to forum sections go to the error page. I am still testing. But soon they'll be awake in Australia and it'll get noticed and sorted. |

I'm getting into threads fine through view new posts. Anyone know when the new web site went up? I didn't even know it was being planned. |

I noticed it yesterday when trying to make a new post. Got around it somehow. Usually I have a bookmark to view new posts so wouldn't have noticed. |

Ahhhh the joys of uploading a new site on Friday..... Yes there's a new main site for BYAP http://www.backyardaquaponics.com , it went up yesterday in the afternoon. There's a lot of new stuff there and it's taken a lot of work and late nights to get it to where it is now. It still needs a fair bit of minor work but we wanted to get it up before the perth royal show which starts today. I don;t know how or why it would affect the forum in any way as it's totally seperate.. There is a small module on the front website page that shows the latest forum threads, so perhaps that is causing some troubles... I've tried deactivating it in the website but it made no difference to the forum so I've turned it back on. Unfortunately no this sort of problem is beyond me and I'll need to get the people who made the module to have a look at it, so that probably won't be till monday... Till then, "view active topics" in the top left works great... |

And as I did to post a new topic, I simply went into a thread within the category I wanted and hit post new topic which is how I started this thread. Now if you want to go find a thread that isn't in new posts or active topics, perhaps you could get to it through the search function. Good luck sorting out the funkiness! New site looks good though, I like it. |

Ok, I've lately sent a person here to do some reading. Since the forum is acting up, I'm gonna use this thread to post a bunch of links to many of the important threads in the basic info and useful info sections to make it easier for them to read up until the forum is sorted back out again. Here we go Basic Info, once you get into this first thread there, you can use the next topic link in the light blue bar to the top right of the posts to view more topics in that section. http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=229&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=basic Useful Info section, once you get into this first thread there, you can use the next topic link in the light blue bar to the top right of the posts to view more topics in that section. http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=130&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a And of course I'm going to put a link to my system thread. http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2640 And since the person I sent here is interested in making his swimming pool into aquaponics, I'll have to link some swimming pool threads here. http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=154&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=swimming+pool http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3264 http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4974&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=swimming+pool http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4396&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=swimming+pool I know there are some other member systems that use swimming pools but I didn't find them in my search here today. anyway, that should give some people a good start in research. |
