The chatroom is up and running....

In the menu at the top of the screen, on the right hand side you'll find the chatroom link. Click on this and then wait..

You must have a java enabled browser (most are nowadays) and it does take a minute of two for the software to get up n running, the chatroom will pop up with your user name listed on the right hand side, along with any other users that are logged into the chat room..

I keep getting the connection problem:
Unable to connect: null

I was getting the problem last night aswel.
I click connect again and it goes
Connecting....
Unable to connect: null

New fun error:

Connecting...
Unable to connect to astro.dal.net : currently trying to connect to astro.dal.net
Unable to connect to astro.dal.net : currently trying to connect to astro.dal.net
Unable to connect : null

I've now been through the supposed help file and can't find any of their reasons why I shouldn't be able to connect.

Next time just leave it and see what happens... I was having similar problems, but if I leave it for a minute or two without pressing any buttons, even though it has said it has errors connecting, it manages to connect and get up n running ok.

Left mine open for >20 mins anyone else having the problem and Joel's solution not working?

I had a look but then I had to go to bed and dream of really big tanks...

Mine worked perfectly last night, tried it just now at work and it didn't, which doesn't suprise me being behind a proxy and cathednet. Makes sure that 1. Your not behind a firewall. 2. You have the latest Java installed 3. Try closing programs that may also be using java/close java in task manager.
