I tried to search for "besides fish" with and without the quotes using the option of: Search for all terms or use query as entered.

I receive the following results: Search term used: besides fish ignored: fish

My results are only based on "besides", that does me no good. I can understand if it excludes fish because it is so common here but I wanted to only find "besides fish", not as two separate words. Is there a way to search "use query as entered" like the option indicates?

It's a well known fact that phpBB's search is less than average, not honouring the AND operator - so it plain just isn't doing what you want it to do.

"besides fish" seems like a stange search query. Are you looking for fish alternatives?

I used "besides+fish".... and "+besides+fish"....

Both returned a result.... nothing found for search.... no indication of an error though...

Could just be that those two words just don't occur in any posts??

For an alternative for fish you may as well pee in the tank

I was trying to see what other people were raising "besides fish" I understand that the two words may not occur together but it was a try. I know people raise mussels and crayfish, just looking to see if anything else was being raised.

mussels, crayfish including redclaw, marron and yabbies, ducks, tortoises/turtles, think that's it, all I can remember anyhow.
Do a search on those topics, and you will find info.

I had already found and knew about the mussels and crayfish. Thanks for the tip towards duckaponix , and I had forgotten all about the turtle ramp. Gotta go track that down again to see how it went. (can't get email reminders watching a thread unless ya post on it)
