G'Day All, have now visited the website a few times (as a guest) and this evening have registered on the forum and purchased the backyard aquaponics book. I am interested in making contact with other Brisbane 'aqua addicts' and discuss the do's and dont's of setting up a system in our climate.

Murray, the meeting sounds great and i am also keen to discuss some equipment options off line. Tried to call yesterday...will give it another go this evening.

(hey, gotta be friendly and living here in Cairns means I dont get to meet other people who are doing all of this) - we have a group of senior students who are currently setting up their own system and whom I have suggested post their system on here...

HAHAHA, funny when you skim over text your brain fills in the gaps with the most probably word, sort of like that predictive text thingy on the mobiles now!

I checked and it was "students" i could have sworn it was "citizens" LOL

I think ya need to disable your predictive text function steve

Welcome to the Brisi group Andy.

Thanks to all who have responded...can't wait to receive my book and getting my head around a few issues. In the interim I will be in the background absorbing as much as possible and asking the odd newbie question.

I was thinking about attaching some piccies of my aquaponics 'space' in the garden?? My thought process was that if I could give 'punters' an idea of the dimensions and orientation it may provide some really valuable feedback and develop some interesting discussion across the forum.
