Guy's and Gal's,,, I've seen the moderators getting a lot of flack on here ( I do not claim innocense) . Let's face it ,, they do a great job and for NOTHING.
We as individuals only see the odd little argue we get involved in ,, they see EVERY argue ,, every nasty , their patience is far greater than mine could ever be.
I suggest we use our collective NICENESS and APPRECIATION to perhaps reward our loving, caring and patient Mod's.

Any ideas ..... PM so it's a surprise:)

Dave ( yes I have a real name)

As far as I know Nocky.. Hamish hasn't been banned.... last I saw he said he was "off to have and rest for a while"... and would "no doubt be back at some stage"... :dontknow:

Kind of funny though..... because he sure as hell wont have an "edit" button where he's gone  ..... the mods will do all the editing for him.... whether he likes it or not

In one of the posts in TCLynx's system thread I used a big font size for some lines in the end of my post. Later it looked too big and blaring (not nice). But without edit powers I just wondered and left it at that...

An hour or two later, it was in normal size!!
Yay mods!

I've never ever had a bad mod experience... :geek:

OK.... been a long time since I could post over there Gokul...

I find Hamish's post really puzzling .... http://www.aquaponicshq.com/forums/show ... 3#post4263

I've been back and looked through the threads and can't find any reference he made "questioning" the "commercial motivation" of this site OR any intolerance of himself or the fact that he had purchased a system from another supplier...

In fact the overwealming majority of the posts were supportive of his system....

Tiff seemed to be centred around the "edit" button from what I could see and constant complaints about it... as outlined by VB.....

Perhaps it was HE who came here with a "jaundiced" view and approach.... maybe somebody got into his ear before he arrived and it coloured his perception....

That's not over there (the other aquaponics forum whatever that is) but right here.

No matter..... bad form old chap, I say, bad form....

Pheewww... good on ya mods..... you do a great job.....

Two years I've been on this forum and I've loved every minute of it...

Mainly because of the good natured banter and sometimes downright irreverance expressed in what at times have been sensitive areas or questions that might need to be asked....

The only time I've seen any problems, or anyone get banned.... is when they've done a dummy spit, been abusive.... and tried to delete content....

Sorry... but I just don't get this "ownership" thing.... it's a public forum about aquaponics ... for goodness sake.....

If you think you have some important intellectual property to protect... DON'T post it... copyright, patent or trademark it..... and I hope it works out for you just like it does in your mecenary dreams

Or have left to persue their own interests... usually commercial.... bit like a leach that falls off you when it's sucked enough of your blood... just moves onto the next "host"

Tossers...

Lets ignore it until they come back (or not  ) . Let us be thoroughly drowned by the attractive powers of AP and AP alone...
(and also by the horror story of 'the day of the tilapia in 412 parts')

I don't understand the comments hamish has made either, but they are a lot harder at hq and they won't tolerate his crap either, he still shows on byap member list so I would gather he hasn't been banned, on a lighter note weather is still crap and salvage yard is closed again so looks like a bit of online poker today
