OK as the forum heading says the following is general banter...
I also don't expect any reply and this is just one of my random thoughts.
Here goes..

At first as a kid when I was awestruck by the human body, its immune system, red blood cells, white ones, clotting, self healing, bones stronger than concrete, the eye, the digesting saliva, stomach, the heart pumping like that nonstop, the only thing that I thought we had to feel uneasy about was the stinking pee and the repulsively smelly poop that any social creature ought to be ashamed enough to keep it private under locked doors and flush it out of sight.
Why, plants are so clean they don't do it and they still live, and grow nice things!

But after a good dip in this forum, now I love the body (animals too) in every way. Peeponics comes out the front of us and humanure from the back!

Oh we are solid (and liquid) gold aren't we? :)

Everything has their own waste- electricitiy's waste is heat and it is not even alive- but it all goes back to one man's waste is another man's treasure or in this case, plant, fish, what have you.

I also wanted to add-
The circle of life is also the circle of waste- nature wastes nothing.

Gokul ,, I want to be kind ,, Angie will tell you factually , that it is not my norm.

We`as Humans have been raised with some simplistic facts ,, we are " taught about " urine and ;stools",, these are bad things that need to be disposed of as quickly as we can.
The reality is that we need to recycle these nutrients back to nature in a better way,..... if processsed correctly why not water the hockey fields with this>

Besides being taught, it naturally smells bad on its own that we learn to run away from it.
This is a good evolutionary trick, the way mother nature keeps its animals (us included) off fresh poop or unprocessed urine...
And when we come back a few weeks later it smells great, earthy. Again mother nature telling us by evolution that bacterially processed crap is gold.
Imagine what would have happened if we were wired up so that we found poop-smells sweet... me would garnish some for dinner.

No, no, I think you had it right when you said you would garnish your poop - not me, my shit stinks

We are on septic, so most of our waste ends up in the ground - with some plants, mainly tree's sucking up the goodness. If our septic ever packs it in we want to put in an enviro loo, the amount of actual solid matter generated in a year is amazingly small and no water required - if we ever have some spare cash - unlikely - we would put one in...

If you don't have the spare cash, you can read the Humanure Handbook online for free and build the bucket toilet and compost bins for really cheap.
http://www.weblife.org/humanure/default.html

Think of it the way cats do. They do their business and then very carefully bury it so mother nature can take care of it out of site. This is how a bucket toilet works and takes care of odor. Simply cover the stinky stuff with sawdust or something.

After I discovered composting, I went from avoiding stinky stuff to gleefully burying it into my compost bins! I guess our sense of smell is just telling us that it is time to let another part of the nutrient cycle have the material.

Yay for the yucky stuff!

not our cat, it shits, turns around has a quick sniff then walks away with it's tail up high. I popper scoop it up and add it to the piles of horse manure I collect.

Cheers

Canna's are a real good plant to take away the smell and filter out the baddies, Just contain them as they will go mad.
