I have a challenge for anyone who has experience with refrigeration.

My new house has a bar in it, and i intend to put my home brew on tap. This means i need to chill my beer and keep it fresh in the beer line to the tap, which demands a flooded font.
the obvious choice for this is a home brew glycol chiller, however these sytem run into the thousands of $.
my thinking is that i purchase a high efficency fridge to put the kegs in, but also have a run of copper piping inside circulating food grade glycol.

your thoughts on what type of fridge is going to be cheapest to run and cheapest to buy?

Must use stainless with glycol not copper.

yeah i've got the spare fridge out the back setup already, this bar is actually bricked into the house so i've got no choice damn it!
one thing i've considered is cutting a hole in the top of a small fridge and connecting an insulated pipe to the bottom of the bar font, so the inside of the font is refrigerated as well.
