I have finally accepted that with excessive alcohol comes feeling very crook the next day. As I have headed past 30, my tolerance of hangovers has reduced markedly  to the point now, I took it very easy last night, and watched people around me hit it pretty hard, knowing they would be like bears with sore heads in the morning.
I know, I must be getting old. My longest hangover ever went for over 2 weeks, after drinking a litre of Jacks and a litre of Beam in an hour, straight. then passing out under a tree. Was working in hospitality at the time, and had to close the bar before going to the staff christmas party. I had some catching up to do when I got there  Was like a maggot within a hour. Dropped a sausage in the staff sauce bottle (4 litre camp sauce) No one knew, it was in there, I had forgotten ( ) it came sliding out on to a kid's pie about a month later, nice and pickled  Every time someone ordered a spirit drink for the following couple of weeks, I poured it and went out the back to hurl, and nearly 8 years later, I still can't drink Jack Daniels

sorry Stu, I did my learning a long time ago. But then, hangovers were rarely part of the equation anyway ;)
Plus now, you have to be sensible for the kids :(

I'm pretty well today - thogh very tired after only 4 or so hours sleep. I drank heaps of beer, but because I was so busy organising all the meat and stuff - I just didn't get around to cracking the red. This together with the fact that I didn't get into the spiros late or hit the port has meant that I've pulled up well. Is a big contrast to the day after Xmas

Just a few glasses of wine tonight, all out of beer. I learned to alternate water with alcohol a long time ago - no problems if you do that.

Check out the poll results to date . You'd think we were a responsible lot here. More likely that:

1. We are still getting over Xmas
2. Those that did hit it hard aren't trolling the forum and hence we have a very skewed result at this point

VB, your forgetting the other option, they are lying! lol

Believe it or not, I've never had a hang over and I don't plan to start any time soon. DH doesn't recommend them.

I was thinking the same thing. What a boring bunch we are. ROFL Has there ever been a poll so one sided on this forum? What, so we all agree that alcoholic poisoning is bad, we are all little saints ROFL. Look forward to the crook members making their comeback!

Hey I had a hard night, I just shape up alright (or I'm still drunk) I only ever feel dog tired after a hard night on the turps. Even with 8 hours sleep...

SG I've only ever had a hang-over traditional style once, and that lasted 3 days. Cheap red win full of preservative is a BAD idea, especially 4 bottles (that I remember) Never do that again.

My days of hard drinking are well behind me. These days three beers is my absolute limit if I go past that I feel really sick. As it is most comercial beers will leave me off colour even when I've only had two or three let alone more.

Besides I've got a pretty good excuse in my 5 week old son.

Stuart,

PS two Boags with lunch and a glass of red now has added to a great relaxing day.
