Does anyone have any opinions or advice how I would start really getting into aquaponics? I have had a system for 2 years and I am starting a much larger one however I think I could really help and make alot more money installing them for people. Any ideas or comments? I'm not aware of there being any formal aquaponic classes or courses I can take when I get to collage. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

Hi I wish you could have been with me at an aquaponics conference recently in the UK. The speaker was in his early thirties. Spikey gelled hair. tattoos. Everything an old guy like me looks at and frowns. Never judge anyone only on first appearances. I will include the links and you can make your own judgment. (Vincent Walsh - biosphericstudio.com) He needed to raise £900,000 in four months to complete his Phd. He convinced Manchester City council to give him ‘a city block’ All I can say is. Yes he did and Wow! My ten cents worth. Start with a degree in aquaculture/biology ETC and then follow you heart. If you read Ryan thread I think he took his first degree in Florida. I have no experience of the USA but it seemed to work for him. I am sure that he would assist you on that educational path. Fund your studies with build and design of home systems. Charge a fair days rate for your labour and knowledge but build up a solid base of happy customers who will support you in the future. Imagine. The Empire State Building with new glass walls growing,... You know I was going to say lettuce but that is so boring! You decide the future. |
