I am going to spend a few days in Naples and one of the things I have always wanted to do was visit, ‘Herculaneum’ We contacted a local guide to arrange a tour. Among the usual conditions was the following;

Entrance fees are not included. One-day tickets are €11 per adult; €5,50 for EU people and for people from Perth and Adelaide  between 18 - 24 and EU school teachers;  people below 18 of any nationality get in for free (valid proving age document needed!! ) .

What have you Sydney residents done to upset the locals?
Or to look at another way. Perth and Adelaide probably have some great Italian restaurants.

I would be thinking it is a joke, implying that folk from those cities NEED some culture or history
