Hi all,

I know this has nothing to do with AP but I'm looking for a copy of SimCity 2000.

Anyone got (or can anyone get) a copy they are prepared to part with?

My computer won't cope with the later versions of it.

I would also be happy to download from the net it if anyone knows where I could get it without risk of malicious extras. Last time I downloaded something (a screen saver  ) I ended up having my computer formated to get rid of a Trojan.

I'm happy to pay postage and whatever someone thinks is reasonable for it.

Thank you.

Ah Tim C, thats one of the 30 min trials. I got one earlier today and it has a lot of stuff you can't get into, just comes up 'unavailable in demo' when you try to do stuff. It dies in 30 min too. :(

The only copy I could find of the full version said I could buy it through 'PayPal' but when the site came up it didn't look right and it wanted me to enter my credit card details....... The real 'PayPal' already HAS my details......

Some people, could get a certain key off the internet to unlock such trial games... But that is illegal... ;)

Yes! torrents files are very bad.

Why don't you play something decent, like Starcraft, the best RTS game of all time 8) Plays on almost anything.

(Jacked up and good to go)

Starcraft? I think I've here of it......

Nope, I'll have to go Google it.

Don't know what a 'torrent' file is ether......

Hmm, I'm the computer wiz in this house.

I think I need to do a computer course.

EDIT: EB, thank you.

I just wish I could get on. I'm baned. I was stupid enough to let my 'friend' (x-neighbour) look at e-bay while I was logged on and she bought $2000 worth of 'buy it now' jewelery and then, surprise, surprise, she wouldn't pay for it.

Yeah, she never got back in the house after I found out. She moved about two weeks later and didn't tell anyone. Turns out she owed money everywhere. :(

I tried to explain and reason with the sellers and e-bay, but I was told it's like letting someone lose with my credit card. Strangely I thought I could trust my 'friend' when she said she only wanted to look. :(

Never again.

SG

You might haved been banned from ebay but I'm sure your twin brother (the one with a slightly different name) who lives at your house, hasn't.

He could probably join ebay and get it for you :) .

I suspect that eBay would be looking at IP addresses to prevent exactly that Sleepe..... and you'd need a different email address

Mind you if you signed up on someone elses computer and had a different email address.....

But then again, you could just get someone to log in for you and use their account..... just like your friend did

Rupe,
Recording the IP address would not give them any information other than tie ISP you were connected through. Most ISPs provide dynamic (more often different than same) IP addresses for each session. Normally will only provide static IP for web page servers.

It is your email address they check. Sign up for a hotmail or Yahoo email account and use that in the eBay registration.
