So today while I was doing my studies for my anatomy final next week, I recieved an email from my school saying that I had been awarded a pell grant, and that I had also been awarded some other financial aid. Well being the forgetful person that I am, had forgotten that I had filled out a fafsa online (only because my wife asked me to try it one more time, even after all my other failures with it). And apparently, according to the financial aid office, my application just got processed late and it finally got approved!! So now this semester, and last semester have both been reimbursed to our checking account! Putting us one semester away from having all of my schooling paid for in full, without any kind of student loans!!!
When I heard the news for the first time, I was super suspicious and ran down to the student aid office to confirm with them, and that's where they told me the above details. Needless to say, my wife was just as happy as I am.
But the best news is that with this, we will be able to get the new car that we have been wanting hopefully at the end of the year!!
anyway, I just wanted to share the good news!
