I'm curious to know the spread of votes from the AP community here.

Who did you vote for as your first preference?

Should run a Senate one as well.....

Deliberately voted Labor this time... even knowing this particular electorate was a very safe Liberal stronghold....

Usually I would vote for an Independant (if there is someone worthwhile) because I loath the two party system.... if not then "The Greens".....

Will probably revert back to that policy next time...

The Senate, well for me it's an almost automatic vote for a balance of power help by a minor party... in years gone by the Democrats, more recently The Greens... this time and probably in the future The Greens..... we need an environmental voice .....

Longterm..... well I'd like to see the "States" abolished and a new age of "Federalism".... preferably one in which the seats were held by "Independant" candidates that represented their electorates.

I have always wondered: Is the saying 'Here Here!' saying I, the one standing here, agrees? Or is it 'Hear Hear' to mean: I hear you and agree?

I know it's primarily the same meaning, it's the spelling that confuses my anal self.

Perhaps it's 'here hear' - the people here hear you?

Anal as in Anal Retentive. I retain it for myself, not for anyone else's use ;-)
Hey all jokes aside, I am a rather anal person as you will find out if you get to meet me. So anal I've been asked if I have OCD before... With some topics, I reckon I could actually get a quack to diagnose me with OCD.

I was unaware I had been bent over... (and you said I was leaving myself open before)

anyhow you've gone so far OT that I don't think anybody's going to bother answering my 'here here', 'hear hear' connundrum.

The seat of Freo has been held by the ALP since John Tonkin won it in the 1930's. Hence I blame others for the lack of action on climate change and work choices.

Despite knowing that the liberal incumbent had a big margin, I voted against him, labour and the minor parties, by putting Greens first.

On the Senate paper, I was happy to fill in the 54 squares (they need to be bigger or supply sharper pencils) twice (slipped and put liberals second last then found other candidates I disliked less).

Looks like the Greens will have 2 reps from WA in the Senate.

Anyone hear how the Democrats fared?
