Landon Christopher, 7 lbs, 14 oz, 21 inches. My son, Shane and his beautiful wife just had him yesterday morning. We are officially grandparents. My daughter-in-law asked me what I wanted the young lad to call me. Pops, gramps, "ol pops, papa, ect. I said "How about Uncle Chris." The Mrs. is fully embracing this next stage, I'm taking a bit longer to adjust. Can you say mid life crisis? Think I'm going to go buy a new Z06 Corvette.lol

Don't be daunted by this next phase in your life, you get to have all the fun of kids without the stinky, poopy, pukey, up-all-night part! :D

I always pictured you as Coach from New girl. Now I have to make you older, and not black.

Ignore the bit about getting him into AP as soon as possible, showing is alright, but touching should be under the strictest supervision.

And enforce the name, my granddaughter calls me Nana just to piss me off. :lol:

Thanks guys, and girls! Good point Azira- give him some candy and a drum or bugle and send him home. Charlie- this Mr. Woodcock? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIn6oJaCGLE I had to google him. I still am relatively fit and did coach baseball for a decade or more. Actually enjoyed soccer more...both playing and coaching.There will be plenty of touching with the little guy. I've already found another upside...bought a box of Rocky Patels yesterday. The plan was to give them to my son...just not sure how many I will smoke before getting the rest to him. Sleepe, Landon can call me whatever he feels like...not thinking Uncle Chris will be an option. Will get a picture wife & I with the little guy this weekend. We had only a few minutes with him Sunday...had to get our daughter back so she could get back for her last semester at Mississippi College. She is our youngest, and is on the last leg of her degree...although she plans on getting her MS if she can find a good Grad asst. position at a decent soccer program. I now have more time to devote to thinking about my new, larger system!
