That last picture can be found in a lot of places in the us too. Most hot springs have it.

They are sort of related to koalas, just bigger with sharper teeth.

You've just got to be careful when you walk under a certain type of eucalyptus tree, they are territorial and will drop and take a decent chunk out of you. Australians are usually trained quite early to stay away from those trees, becomes second nature after a while.
