Damn it was a busy day at the shop today.... Hope everyone got their perch home and into their systems without any losses. Everyone have happy fish?

I believe there were about 45 lots of people came to pick up fish from Gavin, I reckon anyone who just happened to drop down to the shop by chance this morning would have been wondering what was going on.. :)

Thanks for the smoked trout Gav, I'll let you know how it is...

I made a floating basket in my IBC fishtank for the babies but one jumped out into the main tank while I was pouring it out from the esky. Hope he makes it

Yeah was a very busy day alright, only one person who ordered fish didnt turn up but had two others who not on the list turn up and buy a few.
Gorotsuki those fish you got would be better off in the main tank, they are way to big for any other Silvers to eat them. I also have had some customers who when keeping the fingerlings in cages the fish have not been happy and developed fin rot within a few days whilst all the other fish from the same batch of deliveries that went straight into the tanks never had any issues.

My son asked where the sausage sizzle was....
Funny looking at people buying fish and wondering who they were, troutman has some privileged information.
Out of curiosity, how many fish were translocated yesterday?
All sp's happily swimming btw, thanks Troutman and BYAP.

Yeah decided not to do a sausage sizzle this time, too much effort getting council approvals etc..

Spoke to Deb and Mac yesterday, they started with fingerling in a floating basket, but they all got out.. Didn't like it..

Thanks BYAP and Troutman - great service and always a good opportunity to have a chat with Nat.

So is there a Barraman who can do barra dropoffs to BYAP in the summer?

Sorry Skeg thats privileged information but I can tell you that there were over 40 people who bought fish with the largest order being 200 and the smallest 10.

I poured them all into the main tank but an hour later saw one swimming backstroke :(

Yep Thanks Gav (& Joel for hosting) - my 50 are happy in the sump.

Can't believe you need council approval for a sausage sizzle! bloody nanny state. Tank temps in my new big cone bottom tank system are 20 to 24degs now - making me thinking of barra too :)

Far Barra, I'd go large ones from Golden ponds, we've bought them a few times and never had any problems.
