Is that a snapping turtle?
Like the ones that idiot "Turtleman" catches all the time?

It is the common snapping turtle. The alligator snapping turtles are illegal to keep in Texas, they are a protected species. But these can be caught and kept.

Yes the turtleman is a idiot.

I caught a turtle last week for the first time. Fair bit smaller than the one you caught.

Like chicken. But seriously bald eagle is about the only critter I won't eat based on it's legal status alone. I have eaten many animals that are not legal to take. Robins are wonderful, just don't get caught.

Never had roo, but would love to try it. We got lots of wild pigs.

Bungarra is alright too... but this is the undisputed tastiest critter on the planet:

Pic a... Yes!... that is a beer carton!

Wow those are huge, never seen a crab that big. I love boiled blue crabs, one of my favorite things to eat.
