You invented one ! Mine just seem to happen spontaneously! Guess what I'll be doing this Easter weekend :upset:

Bugger Mattyoga. I feel for you.

My gutter overflows in one spot on our house in a big down pour. The spot I question the builder about while the house was getting built and requested an additional down pipe only to be told by the engineer that it doesn't need one.

Would love to meet that engineer face to face and give him a punch to the nose followed by "I told you so".

Luckily its only overflowing onto the carport and not into the house... then it runs down the carport and into the shed

I swear whoever put the gutters up didn't have a spirit level - or maybe thats just the problem he did! I was always bought up to believe that gutters should be installed with a reasonable fall, though most on our house have practically no fall.

Some of my gutters fall in the wrong direction so an inch of water sits in the bottom until it evaporates or rusts out the gutter. I just drilled holes in the low parts.
