Here's a classic that you see a little too often... Ok when it's a DIY system, but this is a system someone has bought from a supplier.. I've got a few of my own to add to this thread as well.... |

Got some really nice flags that would go in the top pond and my granddaughter would enjoy the black thing on the side especially if I put a little plastic duck in there. But seriously the problem is the non SS hoseclamps, right? |

The water level is a bit high in the Growbed. The amount of fish is not based on filtration. The solids filter is overkill and complicates it (assumes stocking correctly). |

The first post... is a perfect example of a constantly flooded system.... constantly flooded... The only problem I can spot... is he didn't supply some floatation collars for the plants... |

I actually feel sorry for the guy... he seems really happy to get started with AP and he's unfortunately been misinformed. This kinda thing makes my blood boil. |

Love to see that system after 6 months, it will just be a green slimy mess all over the growbed.. Yes we will now have a 3000L second hand tank up for grabs if anyone wants to express early interest. Plus a 500L as well I suppose. We've changed our Family system over to a Backyard + courtyard. We've been pushing people this way for many months now when ever they have expressed interested in a family system. Far better way to have 4 beds, cheaper to set up, cheaper to operate, far better function of the systems, plus with two discrete systems you have more options with fish species and location. Plus we've found the long term reliability of pumps operating on a float switch to be highly questionable.. |
