I've been tossing the idea around for quite sometime. I have postponed my Phillip Island trip for various reasons and was thinking instead of traveling down (for me) to St Croix to take in a week long AP course. I'm soliciting sponsorship....just kidding.

Any AP'ers interested in the journey? It might be a life changing event!!

Who runs the course Michael. I went to the lecutres out here that had all the experts at then and quite frankly I would not be travelling far to see it. Iteresting. but not overly helpful for the backyard setup.

He spoke at the lectures out here. Very, very interesting - but was of course all about the massive raft systems they hyave built at the uni. I haven't really been able to apply any of the learnings, though this course you speak of will be longer (he spoke for about 1.5-2hours at the lectures) and therefore there is bound to be more that you can get from it.

Yea, the dwc is good for lettuce. I really wish there was a commercial AP system in a greenhouse that's closer. I contact Kirby Peak Ranch here in California and the greenhouse manager said they were not fully operational....it's been 5 years since the place was built!!!!!!! Anyway, I am desperate to work with and see a succesfull operation that is close to commercial. I would get to work hands on with thier system. My problem is I feel I have reached a plateau with this stuff where I am trying to gain more specific knowledge and apllicable experience.

The UVI course wouldn't be that far for me, but the odds of me getting a week free from the family are slim to none.

Is it this one you are talking about? If so, it is in June...
