Would it be possible to do aquaponics with sea water using salt tolerant plants and fish that live in the sea? I was thinking that it might be posssible to have salt water fish with sea kale.

I’ve farmed live corals in a close loop system for years and I’ll tell you that trying to raise saltwater fish to eat in a back yard size system is no where near feasible taking in to account maintenance and cost. I don’t know first hand but I don’t believe there are enough salt water tolerant plants to make the effort worth while as well.

Just for kicks check out this guys sytem located in souther CA.
