So what would happen if you left a coin in your AP tank for a few years? Something a bit like this. Attachment: P1010002 (Small).JPG [ 79.24 KiB | Viewed 2557 times ] Hard to see in the picture above. Attachment: P1010007 (Small).JPG [ 56.64 KiB | Viewed 2557 times ] The coin is quite a lot smaller in size, it's noticeably thinner though it's hard to tell from the picture.. Attachment: P1010004 (Small).JPG [ 104.33 KiB | Viewed 2557 times ] From this side you would almost have no idea what it was. Attachment: P1010005 (Small).JPG [ 106.24 KiB | Viewed 2557 times ] This side you can still make out the surface reasonable well.. The coin weighed 1-2 grams less than an original, this may not sound like much but a normal one weighed 11-12 grams, while the fish tank coin was 10g. Oh and I have no idea how long it was in there, probably about 5-6 years, and wouldn't recommend people put coins in their tank.. |

Quote: What would my lost diamond look like now? I dunno what it would look like after 6 years, but I reckon after about a month it would've looked like a big fat cheque from SGIO, or similar... |

That's an Aussie 20 cent coin with an egg laying mammal known as a platypus for all the international folks who might not be familiar with an Australian 20 cent coin.
