Going to be bad, people and houses going out to sea probably in the shallower coastal areas. Read localized areas may see highest rainfall in 500 years.

we are just getting the rain and wind today....

up to 12" of rain and gusts up to 60mph (96.5kph)

Im 1/2 mile from the ocean....

Canal drive (last road before the ocean) is underwater and closed...

we are lucky it didnt come ashore here....

I just went through one of these (Isaac).
Totally set my aquaponics project back a few months.

Still recovering from 5' of water on my property.

Only advice is to tie everything down and move stuff higher than you think you need to.
Stay safe. Things are replaceable, life is not.

We'll be alright, not near the river, but there are lots of rivers in the region going to the bay, all up and down the coast. Right now it's a steady rain with little wind. It's unlike other hurricanes I've seen around because it is still cold out - usually you get warm moist air when they come in. It will all happen this afternoon and evening. Good luck to folks North, looks like the most water will be NJ way.
