Just wondering if anyone else in the perth area had a similar thing ? Last monday my trout went completely off their food for near on 2 days , wouldnt eat a thing , and they were swimming around listlessly . Nothing changed with my system , water was clear and coldish . No airation problems . then come wednesday they were back at their usual trout feeding antics . The only thing different at that time that I could spot was a fairly big barometer drop ahead of an approaching storm . Cheers Al |

It was also a full moon last Sunday or Monday... and you never go fishing on a full moon! |

ours went off on sunday i think, that hot day we had over the long weekend, the water in the tank got to 25 though, figured that that was the problem and were feeding again by lunch the next day |

Yep- ours went off the feed too when the temperature went up over the long weekend. We flushed some fresh water in and they are right as rain again! |

mine are off their feed... but that might be due to me terrorizing them yesterday with a dirty great big net!!! |

Pulled the last 25 or so out yesterday because its going to be a bit warmer this week and didnt want to lose any. Have 3 in my small system still tho so see how they go. |

Yeh , Im thinking its temp now , I'm told they came back on the chew for a couple of days then went lazy again yesterday . I told SWMBO to start eating them from biggest to smallest , as someone else said , no point letting them die and losing them . I think it will be silver for me next time , need some low maintenance times . |

I lost two (big ones) in the last hot spell. With three hot (for spring) days starting Wednesday,I can't see my trout lasting - so it's the freezer for them. Friday's forecast for Perth is 19-31! |
